The Small HR Company

How might we realise the website vision of a creative HR company?

Context

CLIENT'S BRIEF

The Small HR Company came to Digital360 because their existing website didn't give justice to their character, unique selling point and vision.

We met with them to understand their needs and ambitions. After carful listening, we presented our ways of working and established a collaborative path forward to achieve the desired outcome.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The Small HR Company works with the creative industries, from television and film to fashion and architecture. Based in the UK, their scope spans internationally by supporting TV and film production companies with local entities in multiple locations around the world.

COMPETITORS

Taking a look at their competitors, I identified the immediate gaps and missed opportunities.

Main gap: Competitors showed a detailed description of their services and ways of working. The Small HR Company website was lacking well-crafted content to clearly communicate their USP and impact.

Key opportunity: Competitors’ online presence felt more formal, and in some cases a little outdated. TSHC had an opportunity to let their creative, fun and innovative approach shine through.

Setting the stage with a mood board

The client was looking to make a visual impact while keeping a clean and friendly look and feel to their website. With that goal in mind, I created a mood board that helped me visualise the design direction.

Designing concepts

In line with the brief and inspired by different elements in the mood board, I designed four concepts featuring a bold yet friendly aesthetic, fun details, clear call to actions and compact text areas. I presented the concepts to the client, and we agreed on the new design direction.

Creating visual impact

For hero sections, I sourced 3D graphics featuring different objects, and by applying light colour editing I created a cohesive set that feel part of The Small HR Company's brand.

Teamwork

Designing a website means considering all aspects that contribute to realising a functional, on-brand digital space intended to engage customers and guide them to find what they are looking for.

Our copywriter crafted the compelling written content The Small HR Company website was lacking. Meanwhile, by involving developers early on I was able to assess any feasibility blockers, opportunities to enhance the user experience, and an estimated timeline to launch.

Bringing the website to life

The project result is a compact-size, impactful online space that reflects The Small HR Company's brand and vision, and speaks to their target audience. The website features key pages such as Services, About and Contact. It also includes their Blog and a dedicated page about their HR compliance training app.
